Bathroom mirror lighting
Bathroom mirror lighting
The place in the bathroom that you use the most is the sink. Here you brush your teeth, do your hair, do your make-up. Good lighting in this place is therefore necessary.
Placement of mirror lighting
Mirror lighting must be even. This means that the light must be spread evenly throughout the room so that no shadows are created. The most common place to hang a mirror lamp is above the mirror. This is a great place for a lamp, but lamps to the left and right of the mirror are even better. In this way, the face is illuminated from two points and the chance of shadows is reduced. We do not recommend a lamp under the mirror!
Light source
The light color you choose can do a lot the way you see yourself. The best choices for mirror lighting is to use a light source of about 3000K. This is warm white light, this color brings out the natural tones. Too warm light discolors too much and too cold light makes everything very gray again.
Mirror lighting does not necessarily require a specific IP value. Most mirror lamps in our range have a minimum IP value of IP44. The bathroom now remains a damp room!
