Lamps for the bathroom

Whether you do your makeup, shave your face or do your hair. In the bathroom you are busy with your personal care. It is therefore important to have optimal light in this room.

Lighting also affects your body. For example, bright white daylight in the morning makes it easier to get going because a certain hormone is released in this way. This makes you feel a lot better during the rest of the day. In addition, bright white light provides sufficient illumination to see what you are doing.

But bright light is of course not pleasant at night. Soft, warm light helps to relax your body in the evening. It would therefore be ideal if you could dim the lights in the bathroom to adjust the lighting at any time of the day.

IP values ​​bathroom lighting

Not all lamps are suitable for the bathroom. The bathroom is a damp place, so it is important to buy lamps that can withstand this. What you have to look at is the IP values ​​of a lamp. For example, if you want a spot in the shower or bath, it must have at least a value of IP67. If you choose a lamp that does not light in the water but does come into contact with radiant or splashing water, the lamp must have a minimum value of IP44. So check carefully whether the lamp you want is also suitable for the place where you want the lamp.
